Roman Petrović was a renowned painter and art teacher. He painted icons, watercolours and still life, but also led a private art school. The Association of Artists of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1988 opened this gallery and named it after its first President, with an exhibition of Petrović’s paintings from the collection of the Art Gallery in Sarajevo. This gallery today is the seat of the Association of Artists and hosts numerous exhibitions.
