Olympic Museum

The ‘Original’ Olympic Museum of the 14th Winter Olympic Games was built in 1903 based on Karlo Paržik’s design for Nikola Mandić, Sarajevo’s attorney. On 27 April 1992, at the beginning of the war in BiH, the Olympic Museum was shelled and destroyed. Thanks to the engagement of employees in the Museum and the wider community in difficult war conditions, the Olympic Museum’s exhibits were evacuated, saved, and stored in safe places at the Zetra Sports Hall. The basic concept of the new Olympic Museum is to present the spirit of Olympism, Olympic values, creativity, youth and other positive impacts of this event through sports and art.
