A representative art pavilion Collegium Artisticum opened in 1975 in the Olympic Cultural and Sports Centre Skenderija, and has since been a true artistic centre of Sarajevo. Up until World War II, Collegium Artisticum was an artistic association active in Sarajevo, while its members were mostly former Parisian students. The work of Collegium Artisticum was banned during the regime of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia due to its political views.
