Opera is composed by Giacomo Puccini to an Italian libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, based on Scènes de la vie de bohème by Henri Murger. Art is life for this group of young bohemians, as they navigate infatuation, poverty, love, and loss in 19th-century Paris.
It’s a timeless story that celebrates free-spirited creativity and expresses the romantic power of love with some of the most glorious music ever composed.
