European Youth Olympic Festival Opening Ceremony

Sarajevo and East Sarajevo will be hosts (February 10-16, 2019) for the most important sporting event to take place here since the 1984 Winter Olympic Games – EYOF 2019.
The organizers of the European Olympic Winter Youth Festival (EYOF) in 2019 in Sarajevo and East Sarajevo will be organizing ceremonial opening on February 10 at the Olympic Stadium “Asim Ferhatović Hase – Kosevo” at 19:00 h. The title of the ceremony is “We create together”, which is selected as the text of the main music-dance performance.
The mascot, which is called Groodvy, resembles a ball of snow, the most important element for winter games, and his multicolored hair represents all of the athletes who will be participating in the competitions.
The return of the Olympic flame will mark the beginning of February in this year.
Sarajevo and East Sarajevo expect 1,350 athletes from 49 European countries to compete in the 2019 EYOF.
